Care Giver well-being and Best Practices in Human Trafficking Care

About the Event:
Join us for an engaging and interactive afternoon where you will be provided with practical strategies for recognizing emotional distress in yourself and peers, and how to create supportive environments that prioritize mental health and promote well-being in health care workers. Provided also will be current best practices on Human Trafficking response, care and recovery. As always, scrumptious refreshments will be provided as well as ample time for networking!
Objectives:
- Describe the scope and drivers of suicide risk among healthcare workers.
- Recognize warnings signs and intervene in a supportive way with peers who are at risk for self-harm.
- Select and practice two resilience skills that can be used at work to reduce burnout and improve resilience.
Target Audience:
RNs and any member of the healthcare workforce interested in gaining or expanding knowledge on Human Trafficking recognition and care, and Health care worker well-being and suicide prevention.
Successful completion criteria:
- Attend the live presentations in their entirety
- Successfully complete each session evaluation
