In alignment with our CE session objectives, we have compiled several related resources below.

A key similarity between the patients in our case study was their non-English-speaking background and the challenges they faced due to limited access to educational, informational, and communication support in their native language within the healthcare system.

We hope these websites provide you with valuable tools to better support and advocate for patients and their families.

• State of Michigan Department of Education English Learner (EL) Resources 

• Translating Michigan seeks to make visible the many ways that multilingualism, migration, and translation are active in our everyday lives. The website includes teaching resources and community links.

• National Nurses United has provided immigration resources for guidance. The current administration no longer designates hospitals, as well as schools and churches, as "sensitive areas," free from immigration enforcement. NNU offers information available in six languages to help patients understand their immigration rights.
